This is a great track, but I do think that the sound that comes in at about a minute in is a little too loud.

Thanks man! I'm working on trying to sort the mastering out.

Thanks for commenting.

Wouldn't really call this dubstep, but like you said, electro house ain't a choice on here so okay. My main problem with this is that it just doesn't 'punch' enough. The drums sound really weak, and the wobbles sound very relaxed. Maybe if you layered in some more distorted sounds under the wobbles they would have some more bite. Some eq might help bring them out more (and that would definitely help the drums).

thanks i always appreciate constructive criticism

Wow... this piece is a fantastic adaptation of the original. I always thought that it would make a great metal song (pretty much any boss fight theme would). The guitar tone is absolutely fantastic, and I really love the keyboards in the background (and in the forefront). They remind me of Direwolf. The drums are also fantastic. Was that actual playing or with a drum machine? It sounds very authentic.

This is fantastic, really. The main problem for me is the build-up at about a minute in sounds a bit like something that would be in some kind of cheesy electro-house song. It also could have been a little crazier afterward. This is a damn good track, though. What soft/hardware do you use?

buyj3llo responds:

Mostly stock FL sounds, besides the glitch plugin ; which is amazing, you would love it. Google "dbglitch" and it's the first result.

While this track is quite generic, and sounds like something that would be used in a car insurance commercial dreamt up by a bunch of old caucasian dinosaurs stuffed into expensive Italian suits, the production is quite nice, and I also love to hear the familiar old sounds of an acid synth grinding its way along a marching four-to-the-floor beat. You also manage to keep the track nice and diverse. My main complaint would be that the track never seems to climax, it just builds energy for a little while, stays there, and never goes anywhere. It's like trying to fuck a cheap hooker while on ecstasy, you try and try to cum, but no matter how much you pump your dick into her gaping fuckhole, you just can't seem to orgasm, and you just eventually give up. It's good, but it doesn't match up to my genius (obviously).

The singing isn't that great, and the guitar is uber generic. However, this is a decent for a song on Newgrounds. You're no NMH, but you are compared to most of NG. You'll never compare to my genius, though.

I fucking hate Finland.

Sokru responds:

me neither

This song is badass

However, being the Grammar Nazi that I am, I must point out that the title should be 'You're' and not 'Your'.

ElektrikWizrD responds:

Thanks, now I will have to edit that >.> <.< haha

Hmmm

That melody sounds incredibly similar... Oh well, this song is nice. Not really my kind of trance, but it's good anyways. One problem with it is that it builds up and builds down too much IMO, I would also say the side-chaining is a little drastic, but, again, I don't really like Epic Trance that much so I can't comment on that. Another problem I have with it, is that it seems to be building up the whole time without having any real climax.

DJ-coocooletmoi responds:

Thanks for your review :)
I don't know what melody you're comparing to with the "That melody sounds incredibly similar".
I don't fell it builds up and down too much, but I'll try to make the next one without too many of them. I'm also not very good at creating climax, altough I'm trying. I don't really know what I need to add, to remove, or to change. I'm still a new composer, this is my first serious song. Thanks for reviewing tough.

Game over

Game over man, GAME OVER!

doppler20000 responds:

???
